Today I was absolutely delighted to receive the exquisite Rainbow Love Crown in the mail.
There are no bounds to the amount of gratitude and admiration I have for everyone along the line in the production of this so that I might receive it so expediently and to my utmost, complete satisfaction. JOY is more like it.
Since we are in communication, I must share with you the story of how this order came to be. Right around Thanksgiving, I woke up with a very clear vision and a most urgent need to find such a cap. I had no idea where to buy it, so I started going to all the places I thought might have it. It became imperative and I couldn't rest until I found it, somehow feeling incomplete without it.
I went to four different stores in Silicon Valley - the UNICEF store (which sells products from all over the world); "Amrithika", a store connected to a very wonderful yoga studio; the "Global Bead Store", which has always carried clothing and other sacred items from all sorts of countries; and "East/West Bookstore" in Mountain View, known for the soul-quality of everything they sell there.
No luck. No one had any idea where I should go, or even how to ask for it.
I initially searched for "hats" and "San Francisco", remembering that I had seen a few ethnic stores in my travels through S.F. over the years. Nothing. Not even close.
I Googled "multi" and "cap". Somehow I found out that these hats are sometimes called Kufi Caps, so I Googled that, and this is how I came to find your site.
The photos of all the varieties of rainbow caps exactly matched the vision I had in my head that morning.
And the cap you sent is not only perfect in the color that frames my face, but it is the exact perfect size for my head. It fits just as I want it to - above my ears but still snug enough to stay on in the wind without pins or clips.
It truly is THE piece I envisioned and wished to find.
